Olena Ripnick-O'Farrell '14 will share insights into her role as Associate General Counsel, IP Product at Meta.
Olena V. Ripnick-O’Farrell is a seasoned IP expert practicing at the intersection of law and technology. In her current role, Olena advises Meta on novel issues of IP law arising across its Generative AI and Metaverse products, as well as across its Family of Apps.
Named one of 2024’s Top 40 LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40, Olena, who is neurodivergent, is a fierce DEI advocate & ally. She currently serves as the Lead of Meta’s Pride@Legal and Co-Lead of Disability@Legal groups, as well as on the Meta IP DEI Steering Committee. In addition to a lifetime of championing LGBTQ+ equality, representation, and visibility, Olena is also a neurodiversity advocate whose work focuses on increasing awareness about neurodiversity and advocating for neuroinclusive workplace practices.
Ripnick-O'Farrell is a graduate of Columbia Law School where she maintained consistent status as a James Kent Scholar, was awarded the Carroll G. Harper Prize for Excellence in Intellectual Property. and received the distinction of being named Best in Class, Copyright Law.
